Introduction

For programming and testing GR5xx SoCs in the production line, Goodix proprietary hardware and software: the PLT mass production board (PLT board) and GRPLT, are provided to help users program user firmware/Flash data to a device under test (DUT), calibrate DUT crystal, and test DUT functionalities. The DUT in this document refers to a PCB soldered with a GR5xx SoC.

• DUT firmware/Flash data programming: Download the user firmware and Flash data configured in OrderSetting.exe to the DUT.
• DUT crystal calibration: GRPLT mainly supports configuring calibration parameters of crystal oscillator. Golden Unit (GU), a calibrated Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) module on the PLT board, generates specific square wave signals based on instructions received from GRPLT, and then delivers the signals to relevant I/O ports of the DUT.
• DUT functionality test: The test focuses on testing Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of the DUT. After a DUT functionality test starts, the GU, as a slave, broadcasts data based on instructions sent by GRPLT. The DUT, as a master, receives RSSI test command frames via UART and uploads the RSSI value of the DUT to GRPLT. GRPLT checks whether the DUT passes the functionality test according to the uploaded RSSI value.
